We will adopt an iterative learning process that teaches coaching by doing and focuses on evidence based outcomes as the measure of progress.

Group Sessions

We will use live group sessions where there is a high level of interaction and participation, accelerating the learning process. We will go through our coaching methodology providing you with a step by step approach.

Peer group learning

Your group and your shared experiences will be a key part of your learning.


If you complete the full course and meet the learning requirements you will be awarded the Certificate in Relational Financial Planning. This will require ongoing assessment to be maintained.

I have done a lot of coaching courses already, what will your course add to my learning?

This course will align and add value to any training you have already done by facilitating a new level of deep inquiry into yourself. This new awareness will enable you to more effectively implement what you have already learned.

I have not done any coaching training so far. Is this course suitable?

We have designed the programme to provide you with everything you will need to adopt the relationship based approach into what you do.

What if I miss a session?

We understand that you may not be able to make a session. All sessions will be recorded and available to you so that you can catch up in your own time.

How do I become a Certified Relational Financial Planner?

To become a Certified Relational Financial Planner you need to complete and pass this 12 week programme. Your accreditation will last for one year at which point you will need to be reassessed. If you join our ongoing programme, your training, development and assessment will happen as part of your membership.

Can I pay in instalments?

The course is currently £3,000 plus VAT. It will be higher for future groups. If you want to pay in 3 instalments you can pay £1,000 upfront and then the same payment each month for the next two months.

What is the course structure?

The course is delivered over 12 weeks. You will have a total of 6 2 hour live group coaching sessions, delivered weekly for the first 3 weeks, and thereafter fortnightly until the end of the programme. You will also have a total of 6 one to one coaching sessions at times to suit your needs.Additionally you will have a total of 12 peer to peer coaching sessions that will be key to your development.

What will be required of me?

To get the most out of this course you will need to be coachable and willing to participate actively in the sessions. You will also need to commit to all the sessions and be supportive and constructive in order to create the best learning environment for group.

What ongoing support will be available?

We believe that the programme is just the beginning of your journey. To ensure your ongoing learning and development we will be offering an ongoing coaching program where you can get the support you need.

How much will the ongoing coaching program cost and what will I get for it?

The ongoing membership programme will be £297 + VAT per month

Will I be able to get CPD for the course?

Yes you will get around 30 hrs structured CPD with specific learning outcomes.

What gives you the authority to offer the CRFP accreditation?

The benchmark for coach training and development in the UK is set by the University system. We have engaged an external examiner to validate and provide quality assurance in the same way as they do for currently recognised University courses. The founders of Know Thyself have over 30 years of combined experience coaching clients and professional advisers.

How is this course different from other coaching courses?

This course has been designed specifically for both regulated and non-regulated financial planners. It is also suitable for those that want to run a separate coaching business. Fundamentally however it is different because it starts with you.
